Talking Factory adjustable shocks information

I have an FD and 5 way adjustable shocks. I have seen the second gen optional cockpit adjustable shock system. Could anyone point me to where the controller Modula is located as well as the number of settings it has. I would like to know where the switch is located in the car. With the module and the motors I think I can adapt it to my FD. I am sure it might take a little more engineering along with some R&D but would be interesting to set up. If someone has some information on the programing theory that would be helpful as well. John St . John

The FC adjustable system won't work with aftermarket shocks, if that's what you are trying to do.

The controller is located behind the rear carpet, the switch is beside the e-brake. It only has two settings, "Normal" and "Sport."

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info, I realize there are would some engineering to do. Having a base controller with an unknown set of parameters and a set of motors is just a starting point. The module and how it adjusts the shocks is the next thing to look at. It looks like the motor runs in two directions and must have or may have a system to track each motor independently. Just another interesting project to look at. John St John

The best way would to be to use some high torque servo's, and use a controller of sorts (the MIT Handyboard comes to mind) to turn them so many degrees at a time per adjustment from the cockpit (perhaps have on button to turn them up and another to turn them back, and make it beep when they're at the max?) Who knows, would be kind of cool to have.
