Extremely rough idle

I need help bad!!!! I took off this morning, car running fine, and went to the store. I left the store and as I was riding down the street my car just start running like ****. No smoke, the idle was study at @750rpms but the car was shaking like crazy. Accelerating made a knocking noise and was very slow to get up to speed. The car sounds like a freaking truck. I have made a preliminary look to see if any hoses were loose but they all look fine. In fact everything LOOKS fine.

Anybody got any idea what's going on. I hate to be without wheels on a holiday weekend. Could it be bad plugs? I was just thinking I'm probably overdue for a new set.

Please help!!!!.

Well I changed the plugs and although they looked pretty bad the problem did not go away. I haven't put the car on a lift yet but it seems like I'm getting a loud sputtering sound from the area around my Bonez Cat.

Could my cat be bad?

I also drove the car around today. Will this hurt anything?

Any help????

I have a car that idles at 750 rock solid in my driveway now.

However its rear rotor is blown.
No compression on any rotor face.

Pull your EGI fuse under the hood and then your trailing plugs.

Turn the car over a few times.

If it sounds like a galloping horse, then you dropped an apex seal, and you'll need a hourse to use for transport for a while.

If it sounds constant, no galloping, then your okay there.

Its somthing else.

Good luck!
