External Coolant Leak? How to remove fan?

My '88 Rx7 non-turbo is leaking coolant from the engine. It leaks more when it runs. I'm trying to get the fan off so I can see it better, and can't figure out how to get the white fan off. There are 4 small bolts, but they are super torqued, and can't get them off...

Any ideas on what the leak is, and how to fix it? I was going to put some putty stuff on it that seals radiator leaks.

How do I get the fan off?

Check to see Where Exactly the engine is leaking
To take the Fan OFF.what you do is use a 10 mm socket and a 10mm Wrench.
Put the wrench on one of the Bolts and it will Hit the Pulley,so the Fan does not Move.then you use the socket to actually take One bolt off...Repeat Two more times.then the last one you can either Keep a nut On and do the same thing OR just put it around the stud and you can loosen the last Nut.
I am thinking your waterpump is Leaking.the waterpump has a "weep hole' on the Pump's Shaft housing. When the pump's seals start to give out,the coolant will Seep out through that Hole and let you know that the Pump is Shot.
Good Luck to ya.
by the way,No Putty is gonna fix a Bad waterpump..it needs replacing.
remember that a rotary engine depends on Cooling..and it also is a Engine that Needs to be maintained. If you "half ***" any repairs it will just cost you more in the long run.In this case, blown water pump could turn into a Blown engine.(rebuild time).Cheers Styx.

Thanks for the info, where is the water pump located about. The leak on my engine is appears to be dripping down the front of the passenger-side of the engine from somewhere in the middle.

I can't fit a socket wrench inbetween the nuts and the fan either... so I'll have to just get a really big 10mm wrench i suppose to get better leverage or something.

Okay I took a look, and I guess it is pretty obvious. The water pump is covered with white residue and rust:

I'll replace it today and hopefully this fixes the issue.

It makes sense I guess too considering how the leak is visibly streaming and much worse when I turn the engine on, but when it's off there's hardly any leak at all.
