AL That was expensive

I finally got the time to fix up the seven you know changing injectors touching up emission controls and grounds new fuel pump just getting it running good. So I get all that done and take it for a drive and it is pulling hard to the left so i jack it up and do a little aligning but couldnt get it perfect so I take it to a shop thewy charged me 60 freakin dollars do you guys know any chains that are cheaper like jiffy lube ect...

$60 isn't too bad. Mine last alignment was $50, and was done by a trustworthy shop. You might not want to skimp on it, since a poor alignment will cause excess tire wear, which means more money for tires.

I paid $50 for my last 4-wheel. My dad works at the shop, it would've been $70 normally.

Wow, around here I think a 4-wheel is running closer to $99. I think I paid $80 or so for my last front end alignment.

Back in the late 1980s, Sears used to offer a "lifetime" alignment for around $120. You paid a one-time fee and got unlimited alignments for the life of the car. I bought one for my '85 GLC and probably nearly drove the corporation into bankruptcy. That little car would go out of alignment if you even looked at a pothole. Obviously, Sears discontinued this.
