Exhausts, not too pricey?
Is there any good exhausts out there that are not too pricey, all i need is another piping because i have holes in teh Y part of my stock exhaust and want to replace it, and might as well with a performance piece, any suggestions?
go to ur local exhaust shop, an independant one, not a chain like MIdas, they would try to rip u a new one.
go to the independent shop, and say u want a new exhaust. he can get a prefabbed Y pipe, any size you need. id say 2.25", and then he can weld a flange on it, so it bolts up to ur existing pipe, and then run pipes out both sides.
now, what you have to do, is supply him w/ the muffflers. order a Pair of Arospeed Bomb's, w/ either a slash cut tip, or flat. they look like Apex N1's but, these should only be 180 each. 180 is the cheapest ive ever seen these. they are SWEET. polished stainless steel, striaght thru, sound good, wont rust, and are tuneable. you can put in a removable baffle to make it quiet if u ever need to.
flange: $2.00
Y pipe: $15
Pipe: $10
2 Arospeeds: $180x2
Labor: $40/hr approx.
time to install: 1hour or so.
this is definitly cheaper than a dual APEX N1 set up. those run around $700.
the Cheap, JCWhitney exhaust, is $280, and a cat back. good luck
