Exhaust smell

ok...

I did the Blok Weld trick on my motor. And needed to flush all the crap left over out. So....

Today I flushed my cooling system.. and then proceeded to flush it with pure water several times to get everything run through.

Each time I would start the car and let it warm up .. then I would drain and refill it. Each time I would put only water in.. the exhaust smell was funky.

My girlfriend was complaining about how "stinky" it was.

Now I have done it 5 times... and the smell is pretty much gone.. but it doesn't smell like just regular exhaust... it almost smells like laundry that wasn't taken out of the washer for too long... almost a mildew smell.

Think there is something wrong... or am I just getting too worried about nothing?

Also... will using a radiator flush by Prestone flush out the blok weld also?

TIA

Blok Weld? You mean the stuff you buy at checker and it seals cracks and stuff?

I think those product are for people which have beaters and can't sell their cars because they aren't worth anything.

I'm not insulting you but I don't trust stuff like that.

If your refering to something else go ahead and make an *** out of me.

He is doing the Block Weld trick. This trick has been used sucessfully by some people to prolong the life of a rotary due to a blown water seal. Its a band-aid fix at best.

Sounds like water is still getting into the combustion chamber.

Did you check to see if the seal is blocked now? Put water in it and crank?

Well... I don't get alot of bubbles now from the filler neck. I only get 2 or 3 small bubbles every 4 or 5 minutes when I was flushing the system...

Don't know if the bubbles were coming from the excess air being moved out of the system... or if they are coming from the combustion chamber.

Although... the car hasn't overheated at all... it has stayed at about 1/4 all last night while I was letting it heat up between flushings.
