i just had some questions about exhaust stuff, is a down pipe, mid pipe, or up pipe better.

 

They're different, and the FC doesn't use an up pipe, that's pretty much a WRX specific piece. AFIK you need a downpipe and midpipe or neither, and most wouldn't use a mid pipe, as it'd be way too loud, you really need a pre-silencer or a cat to quiet things down enough.

 

Unless you need a cat for emissions/inspection (or to save your hearing), the midpipe will replace that fine.

well it depends on what your calling loud. my exhaust is about as loud as you can get (on stock ports). no cats & its all straight through to a flow through obxR muffler or something like that. its nowhere near as loud as some of these hilljacks in their trucks where you swear you can hear each individual cylinder's shock waves beating on your ear drums and they are moving 5 miles an hour.

 

im not worried about noise there is not that many police officers in my town anyways
