exhaust question

alright so..basicly i keep blowing gaskets from where the header connects to the pipe..im curious as to why it keeps doing that and what i should to do fix it..i was thinking about just getting a flex pipe welded on and being done with it ..whats you guys' opinion?!

What kind of gasket are you using? It has to be a metal/fiber type.

i had the same problem. check the flange. it could be bent. i bought mazdatrix gaskets so many times i have extras, turns out the flange was bent.

well the first 2 times i took it to the exhaust shop just because i wasn't certain and they were using the oem metal/fiber gaskets and they didnt say there was anything wrong with piping being bent when i asked them ... would a flex pipe help fix this issue ? im getting awful gas mileage due to this and need to fix it asap as gas keeps rising
