Exhaust question

Just out of curiosity, I was told that the power gains in the later model FC's were not only due to a higher comp. ratio, but a less restrictive exhaust as well..no?

No the power gains were from higher comp rotors and a better intake, not exahust. As far as I know the exhaust was the same for all 2nd gens.

I don't know how you got that information, but the FCs are one of the cars that have the most increase in power from free-flowing exhaust systems.

I think he's referring to a less restrictive stock exhaust for 89-91 and sideways is pointing out that the exhaust systems for all FC's are the same...Hence no power gain there.

Most of the NA's gains were from the VDI manifold. Most of the Turbo's gains were from more boost. The exhausts didn't change.
