Exhaust Question
Exhaust Question
Ive been away from these forums for 5 years since i sold my TII but questions for a relative with a NA second gen bring me back.
I setting up an exhasut system for him and had a question or two:
1-has anybody set up a true dual system with a racing beat road race header, 2" ID piping throughout, dual 4"x22" magnaflow pre silencers and dual 7"x18" magnaflow cans?
2-How does it sound?
Ive owned many many rotaries and too many with loud exhausts. Im looking for to duplicate racingbeats duals because of past exp. I know most of the arguments about single versus dual and from everything ive read over the years a stock port car is not long enough to have a collector far enough back so i will probably stick with the true duals.
Thanks

Guess my first post was just a little too specific.
What I really want to know is if anyone has tried to duplicate racingbeats true dual system with 2-2 inch pipes, 2 pre silencers and 2 cans?
If so, how does it sound? What brand stuff did you use, etc?
Thanks,
Josh

Check the pics & sound clip links in my sig below.
It's the cheapo version, but it worked good.
My header was homebuilt using the Mazdatrix kit, welded to 2 silencers, to 2 bombs.
The quality of the actual RB header is worth the extra $100.
