Unhappy exhaust question

I was wondering if having no exhaust on my car(86 non turbo)would make the engine have no compression, cause I herd you need the exhaust back pressure to make compression if somebody could help me it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Nah, lack of backpressure will hurt your low end, but rotaries like an open exhaust for the high end. Wouldn't have anything to do with your compression.

The only thing having an exhaust w/ low (or in your case NO) backpressure will do, is make your 5/6th ports not work...

...and give you hearing loss at an early age...
