which exhaust port template for 400+rwhp?

88 T2, Garrett T04S turbo 1.0 A/R divided hotside, divided stainless manifold with Tial 44mm wg, all the gazillion supporting mods (fuel, ignition, engine management, etc). Previously made 386rwhp @ 18psi with a worn front rotor housing and HKS log manifold, now going for over 400 at about 20psi on this new setup, which I know is maxing out this turbo pretty much. This car sees race gas only.

So I'm rebuilding my engine with two low mileage s5 jpsec rotor housings (yes I know all about the differences between s4 and s5 housings). I've never built a motor before but I will have a friend who has built 20+ engines come by and check everything over as I do the final assembly. Anyway, I am trying to figure out what exhaust port template to buy. I've got a friend doing a large street port on my new s5 irons, but I wanted to take on the exhaust porting myself. I have my old front housing to practice on.

I am not sure if I should get the Mazdatrix race exhaust template: http://www.mazdatrix.com/toolport.htm (scroll to the bottom) or the Pineapple Racing "EP3A" template: http://www.pineappleracing.com/index...ROD&ProdID=140 . For some reason it says this Pineapple template is more for FD engines... why is that? I thought s5 and s6 factory exhaust ports were pretty much the same? It seems like at my power level and the barely-a-street-car character of this vehicle I would want to go with the big stuff. My understanding is that using a bigger template will improve topend (although won't be the best for spool due to slower exhaust velocity) and make the car a little louder. But it already has an atmospheric wastegate under WOT and a Racing Beat 3" catback for around town cruising, so I think I can live with it.

Also, does anyone know which of these templates would be easier to use for a n00b? Pineapple Racing has a video on how to use their template ( http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.c...ting-templates ), which is nice.
