Exhaust overheat light
Does this light ever come on, is there some sort of sensor, is it even active?
I see it when i turn my car on, and i wanted to know if it works at all, and if anyones has ever came on

yeah, when I ran that 1000 shot of NOS it lit off, but that's probably because I forgot to double clutch .
Is the exhaust overheat sensor that thing under the passenger seat bolted to the floor? My friend and I have seen it, but we couldn't ever be sure what it was for.

If the exhaust is hot enough to set that sensor off, you could be in danger of detonating the air/fuel mixture from a hot spot in the block before the spark plugs ignite it. Thats my theory and I'm sticking to it

Anything that causes excessive exhaust heat can set it off, like clogged cats, improper mixtures,etc. If it turns on, don't ignore it.
FYI, JDM cars like mine don't have the sensor under the floorpan; it's fitted directly into the cat instead. This means I don't have that sensor anymore...

Yeah, I was wondering about that light? I drive til the turbo is glowing like hot coals and it never lights up...Maybe it needs some nos to check if its still functioning......heh
