Which exhaust NOT loud or raspy?
Hi Guys,
I need to put a new exhaust system on my '88 NON-turbo. Which aftermarket system is NOT loud or raspy? I do NOT have a Cat on the car - it was removed by the previous owner. The car sounds great right now with the factory exhaust.
Thanks - Larry Bushaw

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
The full RB system WITH the presilencer sounds good on the N/A... A midpipe in place of the presilencer will give it an uncontrollably raspy sound...

Racing beat all the way.
Has a very deep smooth sound, not too loud either.
Headers are a huge reason why some rx7s sound so buzzy. All cars will sound more metallic and make more noise up front with headers, the rx7 is just really loud for some reason. The smoothest sound is obtained with a high flow cat and the stock manifold with some good mufflers.
Heres a clip of mine Racing beat w/ Bonez Cat Sound Clip

I like my Generic Random Magnaflow (no idea what kind it is, just that the mufflers are Magnaflow) system... Not loud, although it sounds nice (but still loud enough that your family will know when you're coming home... 45 seconds before you get there).
No idea about power or how much it costs. Don't like the tips, either (they're square).

my stock manifold to a resinator or pre silencer ( I really have no idea what it is) to a gutted cat, then out to two bomex canisters is what I have, sounds really deep and not raspy at all.

I think the main point is no matter what catback you use a borla xr-1 or a magnaflow ss will deepen up the exhaust note when installed in the mid pipe area.
hands down the best 2 exhausts products a rotary guy could want no matter what HP desire.
