Right now I have a straight through exhaust to my Y-pipe.
I'm going to take it in next week to get straight pipes from the Y out to the back. Right now it is a little too loud for me, and I'm scared about the flames pointing right at my gas tank. :o

I was looking at resonator exhaust tips on Jegs(picture attached). Which one would quiet the exhaust down some: a 2 1/2" to 3" tip or a 2 1/2" to 4" tip? Or would this quiet the car down at all?

I still want the performance of an open exhaust, but want it to be quieter so I don't get a ticket. What has anyone else gone with to quiet their beasts down? Or do you have any other suggestions?

I just want a cheap solution that will help quiet it down without losing too much flow.

Would those resonator tips quiet it down as much as a pair of free flow canister mufflers that you see on every honda?
