Exhaust Manifold

I'm finishing up swapping all the needed S5 parts onto a S4 motor. Before I slide the motor in. Is the stock exhaust manifold the same for an S4 & S5? I hae both so I can swap it if need be.

There's no different in the exhaust manifold. In fact, the T2 exhaust manifold will bolt to an NA and an NA would bolt to a turbo. Even the 3rd gen exhaust manifold will bolt on.

You could but it wouldn't do you any good. The FD ECU is what controlled those turbos, without the ECU they will not work correctly. You are better off getting a single turbo, it's easier and works better. Go to the 3rd gen forum and see how many performance guys keep the dual turbos. Not many.

Also, even though the manifold will bolt on, it will not clear the Lower Intake Manifold from the 2ng gens. You won't be able to put a turbo on top of it because they will not be room.

Maybe I didn't specify correctly. Will the existing S5 exhaust on the car bolt upto the S4 manifold. I know the 6port actuators won't work without modification.

Hmm...for that i'm not certain on. You could run the the ports directly from the Airpump, there's a writeup for it at Rotary Resurrection.

Seriously, the EXHAUST manifold looks totally the same in every aspect.

K, I'm lazy I'll try it. Worst comes to worst I'll have to remove it after the motor is in. Thanks Tofu.
