Exhaust leak! Bonez race pipe

I installed a Bonez race pipe about a year and a bit ago i'm wondering why the damn thing keeps on blowing the gaskets has anyone had the same problem? It blows like every other day... Pisses me off. I'm tryin to get a copper gasket by they are hard to come by...

I installed the race pipe about two months ago and it has not given me a problem since. Mine came with lock washers and nuts that have little ridges on the bottom. From what I can tell those keep the pipe nice and snug against the exhaust manifold.

Is that in reference to my post or just the thread in general?

Its a common problem for the gasket to blow on the Bonez Race pipe. They should R&D tested it before selling the damn thing!.. The bend is directly at the gasket! You can try cutting the flange off and replacing it with a much thicker flange.

There's a guy I know here in STL that keeps blowing that gasket. The theory is that the cat is clogged which is causing a huge amount of backpressure, which is causing it to fail. I don't agree with it, because I don't think that much backpressure is possible. But, it may be worth looking into.

I'd do the flange replacement if it is that big of a deal.
