exhaust leak...

does an exhaust leak cause a lot of power loss? especially if the leak is kinda bad? and would it cause any other problems such as idle, etc?

Probably not but you should fix it anyway seeing as how it will eventually cause you to go insane and bite the ears off your loved ones.

My car had an exhaust leak real bad when i first bought it, after i fixed it it seemed to drive alot better, seemed like it picked up more in the low rpms.

I just mean eventually the annoying sound will drive you crazy. After a few months I got sick of it and bought a new exhaust
