Exhaust Idea

I have a S4 N/A. The exhaust is all stock but the pipes have been upgraded in size to 2 1/4 inch. the mufflers and cats are newer(from 05). I want something with a better tone. I was thinking about putting a glasspack as a resonator and then 2 dynomax bullets out the back. Has anyone tried something like this yet?

Would be be a good idea or bad?

A glasspack will burn up in a short amount of time.

I thought if its further down the pipe towards the muffler its fine and wont.. Also I read somewhere the stock mufflers are glasspacked.

I can say from experience... I'm using dual Bluestreaks as my mufflers right now and they're packed with stainless steel... they melted after 2k miles. Now I'm running basically a straight through exhaust and it sounds like crap. Bluestreaks are much more durable than normal glasspacks so I don't see them lasting more than a few hours XD.

Well whats a good midpipe then? I could just leave the cats for now until I get a header, then jus put the mufflers on out the back.
