exhaust, heater, and electrical issues

for the whole summer ive been battleing boosting problems and over heating issues of which i'm now victorious... but since fixing those problems a new evil has risen.

the main issue now is an electrical issue, which is a intermittent problem mostly happening after raining or when its really moist outside. the problem started after doing a oil change, after lowering the car, i turned the ignition and nothing happened i then found that the 80A fuse blew and replaced it, then searched for any other fuses and replaced them as well. since then

1: once in a while the car has no power to even start, all accesories in the car will turn on then i go to start the car but everything dies, this usually happens when its moist out side, and sitting over night

2: my after market alarm (alpine) after locking and arming, will now only un-arm but not unlock car. this is a consistent problem regardless of moister i havent been able to check the fuse in the alarm box though, since then ive been only using the stock alarm

3: when driving. on my idiot lights i notice the "antilock" icon is on and my car although running starts to die ie: deck stops working, light inside the cabin dont work, power stearing starts to fail, and windows dont work...

4: wipers just work on setting one... relay problem agian?

my solution for the time being has been to trickle charge the battery when this happens, after that its good bout a week then i have to charge again... i checked the grounds and they seem alright, i also just installed grounding wires but doesnt seem to be doing much.

another issue is when i turn on the heat, heat comes out but so does a strong exhaust smell... strong enough to make your cloths reak of it this only happens when i turn on the heat, not when i push it to the cool side.

ive done a search and have found people with similar problems but all threads have been inconclusive, im hoping this thread will shead some light on this common problem.

thx

You say you blew a fuse while changing the oil? Never knew that could happen, but the only way that you can blow the fuse is by having a live wire touch a ground, or by running too much current through the fuse--either of which are not good. So, first I would search for some loose or touching wires. Then I would get a voltmeter and start checking currents. Your problem does sound electrical, the idiot light thing and the alarm malfunctioning, its all electrical. So the only thing one can do is tell you to start checking. Unfortunately, Im not that experienced w/ the complicated, terrible electrical systems of rx7s so I cant tell you were to start looking; but someone else here should be able to tell you...

ps-- the wiper problem is probably just a bad switch.

Yea, it sounds weird to me... But something had to touch... just gotta jump in and start checking stuff... Trust me, you would probably prefer to spend some time checking currents, than paying an electrician 50-200 dollars an hour to do the same thing...
