So, I'm putting on my new RB Duals and was taking off the stock system. I noticed some 12 mm bolts and nuts attatched to the hanger just aft of the main catalytic converter. I'm talking about the piece that comes separately with the RB duals but is welded to the stock system. These sit outside of the two holes for the flange that use the 17mm bolts. From my perspective it looked like they were just some random nuts and bolts that had no purpose whatsoever. So I ask what purpose did they serve? My best guess would be for some heat shield that had rusted away. Thanks
