I want to swap the aftermarket mufflers out of an 88 conv. onto my 88 TII. I am hoping that the mufflers are the same. I heard from someone that because of the extra heat from my turbo, regular mufflers would not work. Anyone know for sure?

no this is not true. I havent heard of the turbo's exhaust runnin much hotter than na's. If they are flowmasters I wouldnt use them tho, but most will hold up to the heat.

The turbo exhaust is actually quite a bit cooler then the NA exhaust. The turbo cools it. You should be able to bolt up the cat-back section of an aftermarket NA exhaust onto your TII assuming it uses the factory flanges and mounts.
