exaust problems

ok, i think my exaust is screwed!! ok it has dual exaust, and i was having a problem with my car and assumed it was a clogged glass pack, so i took them out. now all i have is dual exaust with two old mufflers (not original though), and a couple bad leaks. how much do you think this would effect the performance?? doesnt the aux ports open up from back pressure at higher rpms? im not feeling them kick in. help!!!

You have an '87, so yes, you need exhaust backpressure, unless you've made "other arrangements" to the port system...

Do you have the original cats on the car, or ANY cats?

thers no cats at all, like i said its true dual exaust, that the previous owner had pieced together at some muffler place. it looks good but some of the welds are coming apart, thers the header, some exaust pipe, then two mufflers at the end. ther were 2 glass packs but i took them off bc i thought they were clogged, but it turned out to be a different problem that i fixed.

I think I'm having that problem too, my car pulls super hard, but there is still something missing, my main cat is gutted, I think that I'm not getting enough backpressure which is making me lose power, oh well hi-flow for me then
