how do you guys adjust the idle? when starting do you have to hold the gas pedal down alittle? if i adjust the idles screw that moves the top throttle plate, my tps goes out of spec and i cant put it in spec after that.

ok my tps is within spec. i ohmed the narrow range and full range. narrow idle is 1.1k ohm, wot 5k ohm. full range idle is .9 ohm and wot is 3.4k ohm. i get code 12 and i tested the output voltage of the tps full range and its supposed to be .8 volts at idle. i get 3.34 volts at idle. what the f****. i tested the wires from tps to ecu and all good. i just bought this re-amemiya ecu and a supposedly good tps from rx7club member japan2la. has anyone ever had this problem ? the car wont hold idle.

Put the BAC valve back on.

If you have removed the BAC, then the only way you can adjust the idle is to move the throttle plates. In an NA, you can adjust the screw on top of the throttle body but on the TII the adjustment is on the BAC. Don't worry about the full throttle measurement on the TPS. The important measurement is idle. With the car FULL WARM the resistance should be 1K.

what would cause the tps to send a 3.3 volt signal instead of a .8?

A bad TPS...Or measuring on the wrong wires.
