someone wiring up their running lights to work like brake lights?

no, because it is jackassed and illegal and if someone rearends you then you are liabel.

its just a friend of mine who threw in LED lights in the inner tails. i was just wonderin if anyone has ever seen that done. ive never seen it before

many people have done it or they wouldn't sell the bulbs at kragen and auto zone now.. the pic is rather hard to tell what you were pointing out but i do hope he at least has his brakes on and just the third brake light is out and he didn't actually mod it to have it look as though they are on.

the LEDs are "o.k." but i would only even consider something like them if the standard bulbs were blown/blowing out rather than wasting money on them. less load is nice but the visibility of them is also lowered.

thats just his running lights on. i got one of the brakes pressed. looks pretty neat but i dont know if hes keepin it.

most aftermarket LED brake lights are garbage. They're not bright enough for daytime use. I'd do some research before dropping money on those things. Check out some motorcycle sites. Those guys are all about the brightest lights you can put on.
