Error Codes 27 & 8
I just went out and checked the error codes on my 90 TII and I've got a #8 AFM meter error (I knew that-the cable was loose) but I got a #27 which is an OMP error. Now, I have not had my check engine light come on before this so I didn't know about this OMP issue. What exactly is wrong with my OMP? I am running 4 oz premix to 10 gallons of gas at the moment and last night when I first saw my engine check light come on, I put more in just to be on the safe side. Is the OMP on the same circuit as the AFM which could contribute to an error?!
I need help here guys!

As you may alreay know, the OMP in 89-91 is no mechanincal as is the case with the 86-88. My check engine light came on a few weeks ago for the same reason(27). Lucky for me, the last time it came on was last week. I have driven the car normaly and it has not come back!!
Did you stop drivin the car for a while??(I had) Apparently, the OMP could get a little stuck and trigger the code!
If you are getting the fuel cut at 2500 rpms then just avoid reving it and baby the car until you can make sure the pump is bad.
The messed up thing about it is that the pump is about a grand! I heard that u could put a 86-88 pump in($200) or find a used one/junked car and yank it. The problem may just be the wiring but nobody sells that, just the complete pump.
Hope this helps

Well, I reset the codes and it hasn't cropped back up but I'm now running a good amount of premix in addition to Sunoco 94 gas , and not only is it running smoother it feels just BETTER. Anyways, if my OMP decides to pack it up, I'm going premix unless I can get a good deal on a 89-91 TII OMP.
