Question erratic idle problem

ok guy's i need your help..yesterday i had a garage install my racing beat header on my s4 N/A
i tryed to start it and it wouldnt stay running so i looked around and saw they didnt put the intake tube the whole way on the MAF..so it started and ran fine after i put it back on.
now today i went out and started it and it has crazy idle problem it goes up to 3000 like normal when u start it but then it only drops to 2000 and goes to 2500 then drops back down and does it all over again so it's like it pulsates between 2000 and 2500.
i had this problem before when my battery was dieing on me.
when i put the heater fan on high it stops pulsating but it wont drop down to 750 where it should be idleing..
Any help would be great... BTW i tried swaping out the TPS already so i dont think thats the problem..

i would check to make sure all the bolts on the headers are tite and on your intake and throttle body, and check your hosses it sounds like a vaccum leak

Yeah, that probably reset the ECU. Works sometimes.
