Engine Weight

Anybody know the weight of a 13B? I've got an engine to ship (Throttle Body to Oil Pan, Including Alt. and Flywheel), and need an weight estimate.

Thanks
Marc

I haven't weighed an engine or anything, but I think I remember the people around here saying its around 250-300 lbs. Someone chime in if I'm wrong.

Just a note: I seem to remember something about writing "Junk Engine To Be Recycled" on the outside of the crate to get it shipped for less money. Call your shipper to find out. I believe it it around $50-75 if I remember right.
It will nonetheless have to be shipped via truck as UPS will not handle anything over 70 lbs.

When I shipped my engine to NC from NY it cost $85, I think it depends largely on distance as shipping from to NY to WA when I send my core to Atkins will be close to $200

Righto, 150 lbs is the max. 70+lbs constitutes a "heavy package" and requires 2 people to lift/move (it also gets a nice yellow sticker)
