Does it have an EGR valve? If so, its s4. If not, its s5.
Edit: or you can tell by looking at the rotor housings.

Umm... I just found out that my engine is S5 and my car is an S4. I looked around a bit and I forgot the name of the wiring piece... but isn't there some easy way to buy that wiring piece to make the S4 to S5 swap easier? Any input would be appreciated.

So do you have an old engine that is an s4? If you do, you need to swap some parts over from it. If not, you have to find those parts elsewhere or use all of the elctronics from an s5 (a HUGE pain in the ***.)
Here is how to do it the easy (and better) way: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...o_s4_swap.html
