engine teardown/stand?

hey i got the bruce video for rebuilding a rotary motor. i plan on rebilding it myself. what is he using when he turns the motor up on its front end and then horizontal all the time? is it just a normal engine stand? do i need one? if not then what can i use for tear down? or is it alright jsut to set it on its end for stacking/unstacking? also in tear down jus build that little thing outa 2x4s that goes around the oil pan, to set the motor on? or what? any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated

Take the clutch off and set it to sit on the flywheel. Then take the oil pan off and you can lay it flat on the bench/ground.

Yeah, there is an adaptor to connect it to any regular engine stand.
Other comman ways are to stack it on a couple 4x4's of wood, or to use a 5 gallon pail as a stand for it.
