Engine Stand Fabrication

Hey all, I found out I need to fabricate or buy something to make a normal engine stand able to hold a 13B... anyone know where I can buy this, or find directions for making one?

I'm in SoCal in the San Fernando Valley so if anyone knows a place in that area that'd be good.

I use a standard stand (the four arms manoveured to mee empty tanny bolt holes in the rear plate. Doesn't alow for disassembly of the keg but will allow you to work on it somewhat.

Actually that's what I need it for hehe, I need to disassemble it on the stand to rebuild it... I'm GUESSING it'd be a real bitch to pull apart, or put back together, if I can't manuver it around.

So anyone know about these brackets? I know I read an article or something on it once and it was very good at explaining about it... but now I don't know where it is!

Do you have a good welder? You can just get two L-sheet metal and with 4 smaller plates, make a "rib" and weld it. But you still got to drill holes.

Or you can just buy the engine adaptor on eBay for $40-50 shipped. I've been using it for disassembly of my engines and its working great.

Thats the one I have. You can probably make one yourself and save a few bucks but its up to you if you want to spend the time doing it.

Thank Dan! Just what I needed, I found someone to borrow an engine stand from so I gotta find out what kind of stand it is so I can buy the mount but at least I know for sure I can get one. =)

I've got that one also and it works great! I didn't have access to a welder or scrap iron.
