engine stall with test connector??
Hi guys. I recently got a 1990 rx7 turbo (JDM).
Anyway, I was doing a test following the FSM on the BACV. When warmed up, the cars idle is pretty stable, however, once i earth the test connector, the idle drops quickly and the car stalls.
Anyone have any ideas to why this is happening?
thanks in advance for any help.

When the Initial Set Coupler is installed, the BAC's duty cycle is put at a fixed value and now does not vary the cycle to maintain a idle of approx 750 rpm.

so its meant to happen??
because in the FSM, the steps to test the BACV say to warm up and run at idle, then ground the test connector.... then go from there.
so how am i supposed to test the BACV if the engine keeps stalling??
thanks for helping btw... and whats with the link?? i thought it was gonna be some mad explanation to what you were saying.

or are you saying that i need to set separate idle for both when the test connector is connected and when disconnected??
