Engine Spuddering at 3k

I left work today and noticed that I have to floor it to get any accel in the car. At about 3k and under half throttle, the car starts to spudder and buck on me unless I go at WOT. Never has happened before. I pulled off at a shop to run in and buy a few things and when i got back out, I was having a hard time getting it to stay running. I would start up and die right away. I couldnt give it any gas as the peddle was feeling different than usual. Never done any of this before. Any ideas?

Have you looked up "spudder" in a dictionary?

It sounds like a large vac leak. Thoroughly inspect all of the plumbing, particularly the TID which has a tendancy to crack from age. It could also be a loose or broken injector plug, but you'll have to pull the UIM to check them.

Why would you? How would a TPS cause these symptoms? If you don't really know, please don't throw out random guesses.
