engine shaking violently...

i was driving the other day, and i noticed the car got way hot, it was like 7/8ths up the bar. i got home very quick and shut it down. i could hear it bubbling and stuff, so i let it be. i came back about 2 hrs later and started it, and it was fine. but the day after, i started it, and the engine started shaking violently. it runs fine. what happened? i was also adjusting the idle earlier that day. would that have anything to do w/ it? thanks...

Have you checked the thermostat? That might be why your guage was pegged and your coolant was bubbling. As for your shaking... you might want to check out your water pump. Its hooked up to your eccentric shaft. If your water pump is going bad it might be the cause of both of your problems.

Unhappy

Not to frighten you, but continuous shaking of a rotary means than one or two of the "chambers" dont compress/combust, which means that your engine is on its way out I would suggest a compression check, just in case....
