engine seized

ok guys so i just found out that my engine seized on christmas day and i can't find an engine under 2,500. does anyone know of a engine rebuilder around philly and how hard is it do swap out the motor if im putting in a regular 13b engine into my 88se.

lol my 7 is sitting at KD Rotary at this very minute and they only have mazda factory rebuilt engines that start at 2500 and then they want 1500 to install it so how about this, how hard is it to swap out an engine?

It's easy... you just need a set of wrenches, sockets, those ratcheting box end wrenches are an awesome lifesaver!
Just take your time, label everything, make drawings if you have to, and put all the nuts and bolts in little baggies and LABEL THEM!
You might run into a few tough nuts. The oil cooler lines are notorious for being frozen on, might want to start squirting them with liquid wrench a few days before you start.


You will need an engine hoist- though lifting a stripped down short block can be done by hand with two people... I've done it myself with just a buddy.
