engine running too rich

I am having a problem getting my '88 non-turbo to idle. After initial warm-up phase it cuts right off unless I keep the throttle slightly open. While doing this I can smell unburnt fuel in the exhaust. Also getting afterburn when deccelerating and plugs get lots of build-up.

First I changed O2 sensor-- no help. Pulled engine codes, it said TPS, changed TPS-- engine code cleared, still won't idle. Pulled out injectors and resistance measured within limits, seemed OK, swapped primaries and secondaries-- still no help. BAC valve seems OK, when I ground the L/G lead from connector valve stays open and engine idles around 4k.

What should I check next? Is there any way to see if injectors are putting out too much fuel? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
NC_WILLIE
