11:48 and still waiting on that 5 minute writeup...

I've removed one engine and could do a better writeup in 5 minutes.
You could do a better writeup. Let's see it, jack. I'm waiting. It's 11:30 now...start at 11:32. We'll see your response by 11:37 I assume?
I thought not...

yes, seriously, obviously this person has taken time out of his schedule to help you out to remove your engine, its helped me out quite a bit, he is a professional at rebuilding these engines and hes right if your going to be removing the engine yourself and you cant figure it out dont come bitching to this man because maybe his FREE internet writeup wasnt descriptive enough just suck up and buy the damn video, sorry people like phillip **** me off when they start little flame wars like this

who's flaming who here? I simply say I found another write up helpful and he flies off the handle. Ok kid. I guess I'm flaming.

point #2, if you expect people to pull their engine and ship it to you for repair, you would think you'd be more helpful than "if you can't figure it out..." Maybe that's why he's charging 1200 for a rebuild and better builders are charging more.

I did do it myself, thanks.
NASA isn't hiring, and I wouldn't live in Houston, but I'll keep your advice in mind.

Oh, I'm sorry, did I say I would waste my time just to prove you can't write? nope. I have real work to do, here, at my real job. A foreign concept to some I know.

It's alright. The website is getting revamped within a week or 2, and I guess one of my projects will be to photograph every nut and bolt you have to turn during an engine removal. And I guess I'll have to do it for each of the 4 unique 2gen engines, since people whine about the small differences in them.

In my mind, it's like I told the guy who posted on here asking where to hook his chain on the engine. If you can't figure out something so simple as that, what business do you have trying to do an engine swap anyway?

If you can't understand Kevin's writeup then you probably shouldn't be working on an Rx-7 (or a Sentra se-r spec-v in Philip_g's case) . Pulling the engine out of an FC is a piece of cake.

reading comprehension > you

No one said anyone couldn't understand it, just that there are better, more detailed writeups.

Lets have a few more sackriders on this guy while we're at it though.

PS- I don't have to pull the nissan engine, unlike mazda's it runs.

It's funny to watch this happen time after time when **** hits the fan.

IT's called being helpful to people and mutual respect. OR in other words, not being a ******** all the time. People tend to like that, you should try it.

See, there you go again with that ******** routine. That comment's really gonna score you some points on an rx-7 board there, genious.

Why don't you go back wherever you came from and take your opinions with you. You're not wanted here, obivously.

this attitude is "being helpful"?

to each his own. Back to work for me. Have a wonderful evening.

I really don't see whats so difficult about removing an engine from an Rx-7 that anyone would need a write up anymore descriptive than Kevin's. Then again some people need a write-up on changing their oil or replacing their airfilter.

Lets have a few more sackriders on this guy while we're at it though.
I'm sorry I didn't mean to ride Kevin's sack. Would you feel better if I rode yours too? BTW I don't know Kevin never even talked to him, wouldn't know him if he walked in my front door. Don't take it like I'm defending what he is saying, I was just voicing my opinion.

PS- I don't have to pull the nissan engine, unlike mazda's it runs.
I'm sorry your engine doesn't run. Guess thats what happens when you forget to tighten down your coolant lines.

I dont want to get into a flamefest here, thats just retarded. I have nothing against anyone on this board, I was just putting my two cents in.

Well, I mean hell. Here I am, in business to make money, but I still take time to do big writeups with pictures and descriptions of things like this for the good of the community. And yet we have people who still complain that it isn't good enough. "the $29.95 video of engine removal was more in depth than your free internet writeup...".

Mr. Landers,
I have read many of your gratuitous comments on this site, and I personally appriciate all the time you have devoted on helping the fellow 7 owners. I dont know you, you dont know me, but I sure hell learned a lot from your writeups.
Just saying thanks for all the things you've done for us.

Check out the writeup at rotaryresurrection.com

It's easier to leave the tranny on, I know 'cause I watched Kevin do it TO MY CAR AT MY HOUSE. He drove all the way here, removed my engine, took it to his shop, rebuilt and returned it. He then bolted it in and left. I squirmed and whined a bit, suddenly out of my 'comfort zone', having to hook everything up by myself. After a few phone calls and a LARGE puddle of oil (forgot to hook up an oil line), engine sprang to life and purred. Kevin did me a huge favor by 'allowing' me to reinstall everything...I learned something and was actually proud of myself, a rather old fart whos only engine work was replacing a water pump on a datsun pickup 20 years ago.
Thanks Kevin for the 'tough love' lesson..

If you're gonna jump on Kevin, you're jumping on LOTS of other people on the forum (not that Kevin can't take care of himself).
