engine pull?

engine pull?

About to pull an engine out of a base 87 rx7 any advice or things i should know?

just make sure everything is disconnected and drained.


and take note of what you disconnect and where it belongs to make reassembly easier.

be sure not to be or reach under the engine while in the air. i trust nothing that's bolted to aluminum.

Unplug the wiring harness from the ECU end, pass it through the firewall, and take it out with the engine. It's easier than unplugging every single thing from the engine while it's still in the car.

If you've never pulled any kind of engine before I'd say pull the transmission out with it.
