HELP!!! I have an 88 mazda rx-7 gtu the car was running fine with no problems until one day i was driving down the road and i down shifted into 3rd to stop at a stop light when i watched the the rpms drop from 4000 to zero and the engine stopped running. The engine sounds like it wanted to turn over but it wont catch. I checked the spark plugs and i also tried new ignitors neither of which were the prob. if anyone knows what the matter or has any suggestions please let me know thanks

we did its sparking its just not catching a week befor all this happined i put fule injection cleaner in it and some people i talked to said that you really dont have to use that but i did is there any chance that is connected with the engine not working

 

Hmmn. Do you have compression?
