I already tried unflooding it and it starts but then later when I drove it...I just died. oh yeah and my rx7 was sitting for 2 years. just last week that I touched it. sometimes it will start but its having hard time...and when is starts, the idle will go up and down and then when I put it in (D) Drive...it just dies on me sometimes. what do you think is wrong?? its giving me a headache. tanx

I bought my current 88GTU that was sitting for many years, it took a good couple weeks of on and off driving before it started running right.
I say keep driving it when you are in an area where if it dies no big deal. If you are hitting a wall at 3800rpm then it may be stuck actuators.

Bad gas? Have you read the FAQ? Did you search? Those are all good things to try.. The FAQ will most likely have your solution.

If it's been sitting and you started it without properly preparing the engine, you have filled the fuel system full of junk. See these links for information:

You need to drain the tank, replace the filters, and flush out the system. Probably have the injectors cleaned as well as their screens will be plugged.

Sounds like your original problem is due to a vacuum leak or failing BAC valve.
