engine mounts
Open the hood and grab your motor firmly - try to shake the motor from side-to-side.   If it "clanks" or makes odd noises, the engine mount(s) are probably no good.
An engine hoist really helps this fix as you need to lift the engine up to get at the enigne mounts.  Once that is take care of, you'll need to get under the car to get at the engine mounts easily.  It's pretty much a remove and replace affair.

mazda comp. $22 each (you need 2) they are 40% stiffer. I have them. I can't move the engine side to side with my hands anymore.

I think I might look into those aftermarket mounts.... I keep breaking the passenger side mount after a few months of use!
