Engine Issues

I have an 87 NA Rx-7 with a less than a year old street ported engine. I drove it home for the holidays and on my way back to Georgia it started getting really hesitant while on and off the accelerator. At one point while sitting in traffic it acted like it was gonna die. Like i said this not even a year old engine. I have checked vacuum caps to see if it they were cracked or missing. I think I got them all but the car is still acting the same. Anyone got any other suggestions. I would ask my dad who knows all about Rx-7's and rotaries, but he is currently out of town on business for 3 weeks, I'd like to figure this out with out bugging him. Please help!!!

Check the TPS.. Vacuum leaks cause the car to have a higher idle.

I bet the TPS appears okay

Did you test it per the FSM?

See, if it still appears okay...?

Figured it out...... luckily my dad bought another Repu and it was delivered today and the guys that delivered it know alot about Rotaries. The problem was water in the fuel system. So I went and got some Heet put some Premium in the tank with it runs better but it will take awhile to get all the water out. Because of this I guess its time to buckle down and buy and brand new fuel sending unit and make sure the gauge is accurate because my gas gauge is usually off by about 1/4 tank. Rule of thumb to people in the cold north never let ur 7 sit with less than 1/2 a tank of gas. Thanks to everyone for the help I appreciate it.
