Engine help

I bought a 86 Non-Turbo. While I test drove the car it seemed as though the car had no power what so ever. I'm new to rotary engines, but it seemed as though the car was only running on 1 rotor. The person I bought the car from said that they recently put new spark plugs in it and it ran fine before that. I've checked the plugs and wires to make sure that no bad ones were put on.

I can only seem to get the car to max out speed at 80 mph. It's tough to keep at idle, it will always stall and die at stop signs unless I keep the engine reved.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

If you do please email me at MisterTwister23@msn.com
I'm in desperate need to get my FC runnin like it should be.

Maybe they didn't get the coils hooked up to the right plugs. Double check to make sure the Trailing coil is hooked up to the top plugs and leading coil to the bottom plugs. If you look at the motor right next to the plugs it will say like T1 and L1 and T2 and L2 on the other side. It will say the same on the coils adn make sure they are matched up.

Or just remember... (T)railing is on the (T)op and that 1 is the rotor closest to the front of the car, 2 is the rotor closest to the cabin.

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/FAQ/compress.html

Pull top two fuses from fuse block in engine bay.
Pull one side spark plug and crank the engine.
Replace spark plugs and pull the other side.
Do the whooshes sound the same?
