engine flooding

so i have been drivin my rx7 since august 05' and lately the rx7 has been flooding way to much...It will flood the engine 2 and 3 times a day, and occasionally it will take several 10 second periods of deflooding to get it started. The car has no mods to it. Does anyone know a trick other then pulling the egi comp relay that will help with starting it in the cold? i am so sick of getting out of my car all the time to get it started and being late.

Install a fuel pump kill switch, that way you don't have to pull the fuse. Other than that. it woul prn help to get the injectors professionally cleaned.

You should NOT/NEVER do that as it's a band-aid fix. Have the injectors rebuilt, blueprinted, & flow tested.

Like rebuilding a carborator, rebuilding injectors is necessary at higher mileages. The fact that the engine is flooding is a SIGN your injectors are beginning to fail. Keep that up and you will foul plugs faster, kill fuel economy, cause your catalytic converter to clogg faster, and possibly run lean killilng your engine.... all of which can shorten your engine life.

ok thanks for the advice, i will have to look at the injectors today, who rebuilds the injectors? would i see any performance gains with bigger injectors for an 88 na engine, if so, which injectors would ya'll recommend, dont want to buy anything to expensive though.

DO NOT get bigger injectors. NA rx7s run rich even with stock injectors, so bigger ones would result in less power ane more fuel use.
As for getting them cleaned, look for a place that has ultrasonic cleaning and preferably a place that flowbenches them. I sent mine to www.cruzinperformance.com. Its $12 a piece plus shipping, so it came out to a little over 60 bucks spent on it. He also replaces all of the orings, pintle caps, etc.
