Engine fire, can it happen again?

Ok, I got this engine it had what looks like a small electrical fire. The only thing that was damaged was from what i can figure out from the FSM is called the engine harness and vacuum piping. basically its all those muti colored connectors on the drivers side of the engine bay. I replaced the connectors and the wiring harness. My question to you is does this fire sound like something that can be cause by a bad wiring harness or do you think that it could be something else and could happen again?

I know this question is really vague so even you best guess is more then enough. Just trying to establish if i should do so more research before i fire it up.

God bless,
Zach

There are three things that cause the most common engine fires on the FC.

#1 A leaking PD.

#2 a loose or leaking fuel line.

#3 The port air solenoid or split air solenoid failing on the ACV.

Occasionally you'll see one of the other solenoids fail and the wiring burn, but usually that is more related to a improperly done modification.

If you had an electrical fire, check all trhe fuse values to make sure they are correct. if they are over spec, it is much more common to have a electrical problem and fire.
