Engine fault? Cant figure out the solution

Hello,
While cruising and pulling up on our interstate ramp i hear a plop sound and car started to run rough and rhythmically fire from the left exhaust tip.
When idleing the boost gauge is jumpy.
the car starts up fine cold and warm.
the car smells really rich since that plop.
Once cold the car still runs rough yet no firing.
I hope the engine didn't take any internal damage.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Would be really grateful for any kind of pointer. Thx

Just a question, is the bouncing boost gauge a sign of internal damage?
Car only runs at really safe 0,4 psi of boost, since i wanted to make sure everything is mechanically sound

if your problem sounds like the youtube video, then yes, 90% chance you need to rebuild

..what you describe, sounds like your engine Crapped itself...
Mine did the same thing and I didn't even push it..just went Boing..and that was that!
But a compression test will tell all.
