Question Is Engine Degreaser Ok To Use When,...?

WSUP FOLKS? I think I have a vac. leak or a broken seal, heres the deal. For the vac. leak I've been told to spray like wd-40 in the bay and if the engine revs. i have a vac. leak. What I was wondering since my engine needs a bath anyway,is a degreaser cool to use for the vac. leak check or is it to combustable, creating a hazard??

LILTTLE HELP WOULD BE GREAT DONT FEEL LIKE BLOWIN' MY SELF AND MY CAR TO PIECES!!!

Dear god, don't do that! You'll end up with a smoldering metal block where your engine used to be. Use the old carb cleaner trick, and do it safely.

Years ago WD40 used propane as a propellant (good for starting a campfire on a rainy night). After some expensive lawsuits, they removed the propane, so it’s OK to leak check with it. Then use the degreaser according to it’s directions.
