Engine blown, or not...
well i thought my engine was blown, because it had no compression in rear rotor, i poured some atf in the other day, last night i drove it up the road and back to my house, after i did that removed the rear plugs and it had some compression but not a lot, so is it blown or is somethin else up with it?? thx
its an n/a vaughn, and it was only at 146,028 miles, im gonna take apart the intake tomorrow, there is what looks like oil on the intake that leaked out by the secondary injector, so im gonna make sure its not blown before i buy a rebuild kit
Hmm...
I know the 86-88 NAs go between 180-220K and the 89-92 NA goes 160-180K.
I'd imagine if you ran it REALLY hard all the time, it might shorten that by as much as 15%.
With NAs - if it sat too long from a previous owner, if someone ran synthetic, or if the oil meetering pump went that can cause Apex seal failure or hurt the interal engine (oil metering pump).

hmm, it sat for about 3 months when the previous owner had it, but ive been driving it for like 3 or 4 months also, yea i figured they got more than 146k, my 87 is at 167k still runnin strong.

How many miles were on it and were you running OEM boost levels?
