looks pretty much the same to me, but then again i dont know the look of the S4 engine bay as much as the S5 seeing as how i own an S5

mm whats that distributor doing there? were their 13b's with disrtibutors?

Yes this is what i am interested in - I have a real distributor from the factory not a cas - I think my 6 ports work differently too,

maybe someone can enlighten us on the spec

AFAIK, only European-spec NA FC's had distibutors. The Australian ones definitely had CAS's, and it seems unusual that NZ would get a different spec to Oz. Are you sure that car was sold new in NZ? The rego label will show you the first year of registration in NZ. If it's not the same as the build year it's been imported from second-hand from somewhere. Or maybe someone's just swapped the CAS for a dizzy? Weird...

It was first registered here on 28/01/86 so it was definately brand new here....

The previous owner from new was a middle aged lady - who didn't touch it mod wise....

I am now thinking though it was perhaps a 'special' new import.....

Why did they give euro models a dizzy??

What the hell, now thats something neat. I never knew that the EuroSpec FCs had distributors, nice. The round turn signals are odd, but, maybe thats a good thing.
