okay im thinkin about getting a new engine for my 87 na and i was wondering is a second stage street port on the engine going to increase my hp and torque alot or is it more hp or torque/ also is 3000 a good price installed/ cause i know a guy who runs a shop called EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM IMPORTS here in jacksonville fl/ and he gives my crew discounts if we spread the word about his shop/ hes the one that will be performing the engine and street porting. he said i will need a better exhaust system for all the air flow. is this true cause i have 2 1/4 inch piping with a muffler from my catback. well give me feed back.

you are going to want some headers and a full exhaust, as well as an intake filter. with a nice street port you should be up to around 200hp. but you will probably be hitting the limits of the stock fuel system. you will proably have to add some more fuel.

the porting will hurt your bottom end. so you will have less power in the lower rpm's but once you hit 5-7k it will fly.

Cool

bigger holes (ported)=more air/fuel=better computer=more hp... your bolt on parts will determine your torque, the bigger the better...

see ya,
